Episode 16. The Forsyte family are still reeling from the tragedy of the previous episode, while a dejected Fleur enters into marriage with Michael Mont after Jon leaves for Canada. Two years on and things seem to be going well. Soames looks to join the board at a Insurance Firm, but has grave misgivings about their books, while Michael has a high position at a publishing company, but his actions in sacking an employee may have repercussions. Meanwhile, another of the old Forsyte generation looks to be on their way out, while a new face may spell trouble for Fleur and Michael's happy home when poet Wilfred Desert arrives on the scene.
