𝙆𝙪𝙧𝙩 𝙍𝙪𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙡, 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙣 𝙎𝙝𝙤𝙧𝙩 & 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙆𝙖𝙮 𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙏𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝘼 𝙒𝙞𝙡𝙙 𝙁𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙮 𝘾𝙧𝙪𝙞𝙨𝙚 𝙏𝙝𝙧𝙪 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙗𝙗𝙚𝙖𝙣🚢 A family in Chicago inherits the yacht formerly owned by Clark Gable.   They decide to sail it from the island of Ste. Pomme de Terre to Miami, and they sail with the assistance of Captain Ron and their lives will never be the same again.   Stars  Kurt Russell, Martin Short, Mary Kay Place   & many other fine actors. Movie Trivia Both of the cars that Captain Ron drives in the movie are missing a headlight on the same side as his missing eye. Much of Captain Ron's personal wardrobe came from Kurt Russell's closet.   Many of Ron's mannerisms (wearing the speedo, the pirate-like raspy voice, etc..) were also suggested by Russell.   His only objection was his encouragement of underage drinking, but was persuaded when told it would fit the character. When Captain Ron introduces himself to the Harvey's, he says his full name is Ron Rico. Ron Rico is a brand of rum. When the Harveys are coming into dock at the end, one of the boats being stacked is the "My Way." My Way was one of Paul Anka's biggest hits, sung by Frank Sinatra, amongst others. Paul Anka plays the boat dealer. The name of the pirates' boat is "Albondiga", which means "meatball" in Spanish. According to John Dwyer, one of the movie's screenwriters, Martin Short was originally cast as Captain Ron and Kurt Russell was to play the family man, but Short and Russell got drunk one night and decided to switch roles. The script was written in mind for Chevy Chase to play Martin. Billy Crystal, Steve Martin, John Ritter, John Candy, and Richard Dreyfuss were all considered for Martin as well. 💎【Ｍｏｖｉｅ　Ｒｅｖｉｅｗ】💎 If you have watched this movie, what would your rating be on a scale of 1 to 10?  My reviews will be based upon 1 to 10.  With 1 being the lowest and 10 being the best.  This movie has a rating of 10 out of 10.  To me it is one of the all time great family movies. This is one of my favorites.    So much so took a couple copies of the video & made one copy with the best video quality plus the best audio quality that I could put together.   Doing this took me many hours, but I love this movie & everyone in it.  This maybe my favorite Kurt Russell movie next to Tombstone.   Captain Ron is my favorite character.   This is an adventure movie that makes you want to to be in such a setting for real.   I have had a number of adventures in travels throughout the Caribbean & South America.  Only none in sailing a yacht back home.  This movie is a fun ride at every step of the way.  Kurt Russell's performance is hilarious and keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering what he will do next.   Terrific, hilarious and enjoyable entertainment. Don't miss this one.
