♾️ The Invisible Dr. Mabuse (Die unsichtbaren Krallen des Dr. Mabuse) is a 1962 West German 'Krimi' science-fiction crime thriller film. It features Lex Barker, Karin Dor, Siegfried Lowitz, Rudolf Fernau, Wolfgang Preiss, and Werner Peters. ♾️ Strange things happen in a revue theatre. The dancer Maria appears to be stalked by an invisible admirer. When the body of a probable FBI agent is found in a trunk, the police ask FBI man Joe Como for help. Como becomes interested in the revue theatre and an ominous transport firm. When Como receives mysterious threatening letters, he is sure that Dr. Mabuse has risen again. But what is going on at "Enterprise X" that both the government and the mad crime genius are interested in it? Could it be Professor Erasmus' secret invention, a device that makes one invisible? ♾️ The fictional Dr. Mabuse is a master of disguise and telepathic hypnosis known to employ body transference, most often through demonic possession, but sometimes utilising object technologies such as television or phonograph machines, to build a 'society of crime'. Mabuse rarely commits his crimes in person, instead operating primarily through a network of agents enacting his schemes, therefore remaining an illusive shadowy figure.
