𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐏𝐞𝐜𝐤 𝐀𝐬 "𝙅𝙞𝙢𝙢𝙮 𝙍𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙤" 𝐇𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐓𝐨 𝐒𝐞𝐞 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞'𝐬 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 🤠𝘼𝙣𝙙 𝙏𝙤 𝙂𝙚𝙩 𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙮 𝙁𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙃𝙞𝙨 𝙂𝙪𝙣𝙛𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙋𝙖𝙨𝙩, 𝘽𝙪𝙩 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙒𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝘽𝙚 𝙃𝙞𝙨 𝙁𝙖𝙩𝙚❓ Notorious gunfighter Jimmy Ringo rides into town to find his true love, who doesn't want to see him.  He hasn't come looking for trouble, but trouble finds him around every corner.   In "The Gunfighter", he plays Jimmie Ringo - a tribute to the Johnny Ringo character, perhaps? - a deadly  gunslinger with 15 kills to his credit, who wishes to put the past behind him and to be left alone and start a life anew in peaceful obscurity, but is hounded everywhere by would be wannabe Billy the Kids who are vying for the "honor" and "distinction" of having shot him. Stars:   Gregory Peck, Helen Westcott, Millard Mitchell   and many other fine actors.    A bit of movie trivia. 01:  The large painting on the wall behind Gregory Peck's chair in the barroom is "Custer's Last Fight," painted in 1884 by Cassily Adams and reproduced as a lithographic print by Otto Becker from Adams' original painting. These prints were distributed in 1896 to bars and taverns all over America by the Anheuser Busch Co. 02:  The western street in this film is the same one used in The Ox-Bow Incident (1942).  03:  Gregory Peck said about 'The Gunfighter' - 'Tis one of my favorite pictures of all the pictures I've made.'  💎【Ｍｏｖｉｅ　Ｒｅｖｉｅｗ】💎  This underrated classic deservs to be seen by true fans of westerns - in 1950 when it came out it was one of the first that tried to get it really right - the clothes, the guns, the look, etc. Peck gives a wonderfully angry, sad performance as Ringo an old gunfighter who is dead tired of the "life" and wants to retire. Fascinating characters, great performances, tight, strong script. Seek this one out. Made before High Noon but never gets the attention it deserves.
