A group of teenagers take on summer jobs at a holiday camp in Clacton on Sea, each with their own reason for being there. While Timothy is a shallow nightclub singer there mainly to chase girls, Gerry dreams of winning the talent contest that is due to be filmed there. And both are in love with waitress Christina, who is there to get away from her upper class mother, who is determined that she keeps up her operatic studies. However, things get complicated when mother turns up there for the holidays. What are they to do?
This features a number of 1960's pop stars, such as John (Remember Me) Leydon, Mike (Come Outisde) Sarne, Grazina Frame, Richard O'Sullivan, Ron Moody, Liz Fraser, Jennifer and Susan Baker, plus Freddie and the Dreamers, The Mojos, Nicolas Parsons, Michael Ripper, Hazel Hughes, Peter Gilmore, Patrick Newell, Charles Lloyd Pack (Trigger's dad), Gaby Vargas and Nicola Riley to name a few. It's one of those cheap and cheerful 1960's fare that came out during that time (similar to Cliff Richard's Summer Holiday), and a interesting time capsule of the era. I found this on an old recorded video tape (along with an old episode of Home & Away), and I only wish the tape was of better quality. However, I've noticed that this film does not seem to be available on here, which is why I have uploaded it. Someone is sure to remember it, and Freddie and the Dreamers certainly add to the madcap fun. Oh, and apparently Danny La Rue is supposed to be in this somewhere, but I'm blowed if I can spot him.
