Richter begins an unlikely friendship with Lisa Dorn (Andrea King), a famed stage actress who is being courted by disgraced Nazi Gen. Arnim von Dahnwitz (Raymond Massey). Surrounded by potential informants, Richter and Dorn struggle to secure safe passage out of Germany in the final days of World War II. The story was updated to include late war events during the spring of 1945.
