Show prices were once more altered for this show onwards. The Purple Vip & Welcome 2 America VIP packages were back, while regular floor seats now cost, $149.50 (+ fees). Riser seating (near the stage) was now $55 (+ fees) and the S.R.O. 'Purple dance pit' tickets were now $25, like the colonnade seating.
The show up until the intro of The Glamorous Life was broadcast live on 102.3 KJLH radio in Los Angeles.
Prince fan Cody Breedlove got on stage to sing on Play That Funky Music.
Stevie Wonder, on his 61st birthday, joined Prince onstage. Prince celebrated him with a long medley of songs using Superstition as the basis - including snippets of Wonder's Happy Birthday, Uptight (Everything's Alright), and You Haven't Done Nothin' (all three of which were played at a Prince show for the first and only time), as well as Jimi Hendrix's Who Knows (which was played at a Prince show for the final time).
