Siegfried deals with a sheepdog who never barks. James has problems with miserly Mr Biggins, who blames the vet for the death of his cow. Calum is on the receiving end of another of Siegfried's rants. This time it is telling clients that they can call at any hour of the day or night. Tristan becomes an overnight expert on goats in an effort to impress Jean Derrick, a beautiful young married woman whom Tristan thinks has an elderly husband. Helen takes a liking to a stray cat and its kitten when they wander into the garden.
