Based on the life of the world-famous Alsatian theologian and educator Albert Schweitzer, according to his biography by James Brabazon who also wrote the original screenplay.
James Brabazon (his real name was Leslie James Seth-Smith and he was born in Uganda) was a British writer -and also actor, screenwriter director and producer- who wrote the Biography of Albert Schweitzer in 1975 and had introduced his Essential Writings in 2005. Brabazon has also imade a presentation of Schweitzer's life, just before 2009 (

The story was adapted for the wide screen by the cinema professor David Howard & Gavin Osborne Millar (or Miller) and, then, the movie was directed by the Scottish screenwriter, director and producer Gavin Osborne Millar (or Miller).
Filmed entirely in Port St. Johns and Cape Town (SOUTH AFRICA).
