Part 5 of 6 of the children's TV classic, broadcast in the run up to Christmas 1988. The children meet Aslan the lion, who agrees to help save their brother Edmund, who is under captive by the White Witch. But despite Narnia beginning to thaw, they are in grave danger as Maugrim and his men attack the camp. Then the Witch herself later arrives, and has a terrible proposition for Aslan if he is to save the life of Edmund... Starring Richard Dempsey, Sophie Wilcox, Sophie Cook, Jonathan R Scott, Barbara Kellerman, Kerry Shale, Lesley Nicol, Martin Stone, plus the wonderful voice of Ronald Pickup as Aslan. This is a series I remember well, and for kids back then made for a captivating Christmas serial. And be warned, this episode is certain to frighten some children - big ones (ie, those who remember this first time around) and small ones of today.
