The Lady Wants Mink 1953. Eve Arden, Ruth Hussey, Dennis O'Keefe Jim Connors (Dennis O'Keefe), who works a low-level office job at a department store, saves enough to buy his wife, Nora (Ruth Hussey), a nice coat for her birthday. However, when neighbor Gladys (Eve Arden) shows up with a mink coat, it makes both of the Connors upset. Jim feels ashamed that he doesn't make more money, and his disfavor with his job soon gets him fired. Meanwhile, Nora procures a couple of minks and looks into breeding them for herself, to the annoyance of her neighbors.
