Double Indemnity (1944) Synopsis / Plot Unsuspecting Mr. Dietrichson becomes increasingly accident prone after his icily calculating wife (Barbara Stanwyck) encourages him to sign a double indemnity policy proposed by a smooth-talking insurance agent (Fred MacMurray).
