In 1988, Kim Wilde was asked to support Michael Jackson during the European leg of his "Bad" tour. After she agreed, this resulted in a four month, 33 date tour across Europe, starting on 23 May 1988 at the Flaminio Stadium in Rome (Italy) and ending on 11 September 1988 at the Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool (UK). Eight more tour dates were opened by Taylor Dayne instead of Kim Wilde (between 5 and 23 August). A combined total of almost 2 million people attended the concerts that were opened by Kim Wilde.
