Terence Stamp stars as an Oxbridge classics don and SIS officer in this Cold War spy thriller that originally aired in two episodes as part of the six-episode miniseries Chessgame. Based on Anthony Price's spy stories, the series essentially consisted of 3 TV films about various cases solved by Stamp's character. They later aired as three standalone TV movies. Costars Carmen du Sautoy, Michael Culver and Robin Sachs.
