Behold over one hour of the fatalities, brutalities, animalities, friendships, babalities and hara-kiris in Mortal Kombat Anthology. Recording almost all finishers in Ingrid Cold's MKP compilation and prepraring all of them to render in Sony Vegas took me even 12 hours.
Mortal Kombat Anthology is a MKP compilation was released in 2008, one or two years before Mortal Kombat Chaotic. It's an example of a MKP game, that not only has all characters from the classic trilogy (including the cyborg versions), but also it has many post-UMK3 characters and fan characters. It has even Cammy White from Street Fighter series, who looks pretty good in this MKP game.
Unfortunately this MKP has several flaws. 80% of the non-canon characters are the spriteswaps and recolors of the original ones or other MK fan characters (for example Disaster, who is a Leviathan spriteswap or Wintage, who is a Rain recolor without any fatalities). Some of the characters have no fatalities (for example the MK2 Liu Kang or Stryker). Most of the clones are made of the MK3 Sub-Zero. How lazy they were?
Some of their fatalities do not work no matter which distance I am trying to perform them in (It happens with Reiko, Opera, MK4 Scorpion or Khameleon). Some of the finishers are even glitchy. Quan Chi in this MKP game is one of the ugliest MKP characters I have ever seen in my entire life. The only original MKP characters in this game, are the UMK3/MK3 characters with Tremor, Hornbuckle, Cyborg Hydro. bosses and Cammy White. This game has no Hi-Res stages. I understand, because not everyone was using WinMUGEN Plus in 2008 year yet. However most of the stages look pretty nice. The fatalities are repetitive too. For example the decapitations, which are performed even with the simple moves. It's not gory or exciting. It's boring! Even the little child would not be scared of them.
There are even some of the characters, that were made for the regular MUGENs: Jehovanns's Bloody Motaro and Mike Obrecht's Shao Kahn, who is the final boss in this MKP compilation.
Usually a game crashes, if I try to continue the arcade mode, except while fighting the sub-bosses and bosses.
I had to edit the finisher movesets in the characters, because I didn't know what distance do they need to perform it or the moveset of some of the characters was too complicated to execute. However I am keeping the copy of this MUGEN game with the original movesets. If you want to check the moveset of your chosen character, go to his folder and open the .cmd file.
A year ago Mortal Kombat Addict made the MUGEN 1.0 remake of Mortal Kombat Anthology, where the Hi-Res stages can work normally, there are several characters from Mortal Kombat Chaotic and some of the characters such as Kira are updated.
I am planning making the supreme demonstration in Mortal Kombat Chaotic after I pass all exams or when I get more free days in a week after passing some subject.
If you want to play this game it find out yourself, you can download it here:
