Thanksgiving: A Truly American Holiday

Though begun as a simple commemoration of a religious ceremony of European colonists, the Thanksgiving holiday in America has evolved to involve every aspect of American culture, including food, entertainment, sports and commerce. By influencing and incorporating these myriad aspects of life in the United States Thanksgiving has become the most American of holidays.
