All photos you add to your posts and statuses go to the ""Other"" album. You may have this album hidden from certain categories of users or friends.
It's very simple to change this:

1. Open the ""Other"" album
2. Click the three dots in the top right corner of the screen
3. Select ""Edit album"" from the menu that appears
4. Change album privacy settings: check the categories of users who you want to have access to photos from your statuses and posts
